Bored and Sick... Kryptonite possible killer
Hey everybody, it's skittles boy here. I'm feeling pretty ill today, probably with a cold. If you heard me speak, you'd think that I had been taking some time to chill out or something. I have been kinda tired lately and haven't really done anything important. The problem with that is that I am bored AND sick. I think I may have been infected with some kryptonite in a recent meteor shower, either that or my nemesis Weak Sauce is back to get me again. Hopefully, I solve my problems, but I may be a little dumb and tired as I'm getting my wisdom teeth out next friday. Well, I am still looking towards the sunny side of the rainbow and expect to still have a grand old time. Best of Luck friends!

Feeling down? You could be a super hero too!
This is a call for everyone who is feeling self centered, bored, depressed, happy, charitable, gloomy, miserable, contented, or anyone who is breathing and alive. Everyone needs to get out there and do something nice for someone else. For example, call a friend you haven't talked to in ages and chat with them a while. You could pick up some new super powers like me and take something good to your neighbors. You could be like Delicate Daisy and plant flowers and trees to beautify the earth. We can't just stand here while nothing is done for our world. We must make the difference, and we can one at a time. It will take a little bit of effort, but not much. Just do one unselfish thing a week, that's all I ask. Love a little more, care a little more, shake someone's hand or just smile. You'll find that it will boost you higher than you ever imagined.

Reply to Alicia
This is a reply to my dear friend Alicia who asked how my summer has been. So everyone knows, it has been great. I have been flying throughout the world saving children from math facts poverty and showering skittles on unsuspecting hungry hikers. I also got to enjoy the beauty of nature when I hiked in Arches National Park and camped in the La Sal Mountains. I have hung out with my many friends: Delicate Daisy, Curtina the Chaste, Nancy the Nun, Alicia of course, and Harry the Hamburger. There has been no sign of my nemesis, Spirited Woman or Reese's man. All is good!

A new kind of heroics
I have to say, even skittles boy was not ready for this summer's summer job. It's not like I haven't ever helped someone with math before, but Greg was a new kind of case for me. I got a job tutoring at the local junior high and found more than I had bargained for. I found a type of heroism that I only hope I can achieve. I've fought so many battles but none of them compare to Least Common Denominator.
I get to help about twenty students that failed math last year try to understand math this summer. It's extremely difficult considering a lot of these kids have never gotten any one on one help. Greg is one of the students I get to help, and he has so much trouble with fractions. I will admit sometimes they have even me stumped! I try to explain fractions and the infamous Least Common Denominator to Greg in fifty different ways, visual, audio, hands on. I tried everything I could think of. I didn't feel very super when I found that this guy just couldn't understand. I feel like I'm fighting an uphill battle and keep sliding down backwards. I did find out, however, that he understands how to use a calculator quite well. He might not be coming back to summer school for the rest of the summer because I think his hours at summer school are completed. I only hope I helped Greg a little bit. It seems like these kids just never have anyone show them compassion. I just wish I could help all of them, completely, today. It turns out even super heroes find things that they can't do today, and that they don't know if they'll be able to do at all. It is so hard.

A buddy and potatoes
Today was a lovely day for some yard work. Even though I have super tendencies I often do tedious chores, nonetheless. I was weeding in my flower bed when I found my newest sidekick. His name is Eddy and he is a Jack Russell Terrier. He was a sweet dog and we hit it off immediately. I'm quite sure that we'll be friends forever and I'm glad I met him. Even though he went home, I'm sure we'll meet again.
After my buddy went home, I had the opportunity to plant potatoes. Those of you who haven't ever planted potatoes, it's a real doozy. It takes lots of strength and it was work even for a hero like me. Everyone should get out and do something in this weather and save the environment. Plants are great and Animals are cuddly. So eat more plants, kill less animals, and plant a tree. Chickens are totally ok to eat though!!

Spirited Woman strikes again!
So much has happened in my super hero life since last I wrote. I went on a super date with Delicate Daisy while Spirited Woman often reared her head in my back window of my chevy venture skittles van. I learned to ice skate, thanks to the help of two gentleman: Kevin and Braxton Hughes, twin figure skaters who helped me learn more than I ever thought possible. I conquered deadlines in homework at school, and I saved many people's days by giving the life giving skittles. I was exhausted but the worst was yet to come. It came in the form of a dream, at least I hope it was a dream, considering it would be exceedingly harsh if it was reality.
Delicate Daisy was talking to me after our date and we got a long quite well. The weekend hit, I went to church and we didn't talk for one day. The next day at school, Delicate Daisy had changed a little and she was hanging out with my nemesis Reeses Man. As the week wore on Daisy changed more and more until suddenly I knew. She had turned into Spirited Woman. It is hard to say where I went wrong but perhaps I didn't brush my teeth enough. It's difficult to find time to brush when people require saving at 6:15 in the morning. Perhaps, Delicate Daisy is still somewhere else, in fact I think I found her in an unsuspecting park this evening.
Daisy and some of our super friends went to a movie and it was so wonderful to spend time with them. It just shows that you can find people you thought you'd lost in places you wouldn't expect. Hopefully, Spirited Woman will leave and all I will have to deal with is what flavor of skittles to give out to those who need them. Please check out the poll at the bottom of the page!

Stress and Tests
Unfortunately, I have not been able to post the last few days because I have been preparing for end of the year tests. (Yes, Super heroes have to go to school too.) Luckily I will be done with those this week. Best of luck to everyone!
